What are Macro Fertilizers?
Macro fertilizers provide the essential nutrients aquatic plants need in larger amounts to grow healthy and vibrant. These include Nitrogen (N), Phosphorus (P), Potassium (K), and Magnesium (Mg). Each plays a critical role. Nitrogen supports leafy growth and chlorophyll production, Phosphorus aids in energy transfer and root development, Potassium improves plant strength and nutrient transport, and Magnesium is vital for photosynthesis and overall plant health.
Recommended Dosage:
Our macro fertilizer is easy to use and safe for all aquatic life. The standard recommended dose is:
1 ml per 10 liters of aquarium water, dosed 3 times a week on alternate days
For low-tech tanks (low light, no CO₂): start with 0.5 ml per 10 liters
For high-tech tanks (high light, CO₂ injected): stick to 1 ml per 10 liters
Alternate with micro fertilizer on the remaining days to provide a complete nutrient profile.
Adjusting Based on Tank Conditions:
Every aquarium is different, so it's important to monitor plant growth and water clarity. If you notice algae growth, reduce the macro dosage slightly. If plants show signs of nutrient deficiency such as yellowing, holes in leaves, or stunted growth gradually increase the dose until healthy growth resumes.
Weekly Maintenance:
To maintain a stable and healthy environment, we strongly recommend performing weekly water changes of 30–50%. This helps prevent excess nutrient buildup and keeps your aquarium water clean and balanced.
Storage Recommendations:
To preserve the quality and effectiveness of your macro fertilizer, store it in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and heat.
