Not every tank runs pressurized CO₂, but your plants still need a source of carbon to grow and stay healthy. That’s where The Aquatic Nest Liquid Carbon comes in. It’s a simple, effective way to supplement carbon in low-tech or non-CO₂ aquariums, while also helping to control algae.

Whether you're starting out or maintaining a low-maintenance planted tank, this liquid carbon offers gentle but powerful support for plant health and clarity.

Why use Liquid Carbon?

Plants use carbon as one of their core building blocks. In high-tech tanks, this usually comes from CO₂ gas. But in low-tech tanks, carbon is often limited which can slow plant growth and give algae the upper hand.

Adding Liquid Carbon helps in:

• Providing a carbon source for aquatic plants

• Inhibiting certain types of algae, especially black beard algae and hair algae

• Improving overall plant health, helping them grow faster and compete with algae naturally

• Supporting rooted and stem plants in low-light or non-injected tanks

When and How to Use?

Use The Aquatic Nest Liquid Carbon as a part of your regular plant care routine, or as a spot treatment for algae outbreaks.

Regular Use (Preventive)

Dose 2 ml per 50 L daily or every other day. Add directly to the tank, preferably in the morning when lights come on. This gives plants a consistent supply of carbon and helps prevent algae buildup over time.

Algae Spot Treatment

To target stubborn algae like black beard algae (BBA):

• Turn off your filter temporarily

• Use a toothbrush or syringe to apply liquid carbon directly on affected areas (e.g. leaves, wood, rocks)

• Wait 1–2 minutes, then restart your filter

• Repeat daily for several days

Do not overdose or spot-treat too frequently. Always watch livestock for sensitivity.

Is It Safe?

Yes. When used as directed, this product is safe for fish, shrimp, snails, and plants. It contains no harsh chemicals, and our formula is stabilized and preserved for long shelf life and consistent performance.

• Store in a cool, dark place, away from sunlight

• Keep the bottle sealed when not in use

• Do not refrigerate or freeze

• Use within 12 months of opening for best results
